Our story

From the first stone to today’s welcoming home — a generous family adventure.

The beginnings in Les Curtillets

This story begins in 1978 when Albert and Gaby, from the North of France, bought land to build a holiday home.

For years, they spent their summers in a rented cottage in Bellevaux. Their wish: to bring a growing family together under the same roof every season.

1983 — House construction and SCI creation
1983 Construction

A family worksite

Foundations and walls were built by a local mason. The rest — carpentry, roofing, joinery, electricity, plumbing, heating — was done by the family.

To ensure continuity, the SCI “Les Curtillets” was created and shares distributed among children and grandchildren. “Curtillets” means “small gardens”.

2003 & 2012 — Memories and tributes
2003 · 2012 Memories

Moments of remembrance

More sorrowful gatherings took place for the funerals of Albert (2003) and Gaby (2012), who now rest in Bellevaux’s cemetery.

2020 — Major renovation
2020 → 2023 Renovation

Comfort and transmission

The house lacked comfort: a major renovation with local craftsmen — roof, insulation, new joinery, terrace, extra bedrooms, roof windows…

Everyone then contributed skills: electricity, plumbing, partitions, kitchen, bathroom, plaster, paint, flooring…
